A digital village hub built by the community, for the community.
Bishops Tawton Village Hub is a modern online home for a real local community. It brings village news, events, recommendations, photos, local businesses, useful information and opportunities to help one another into one clear, welcoming place.

01 / The challenge
The starting point.
The previous village website was outdated and no longer doing enough for the people it was meant to serve. Residents needed somewhere more useful and current: a place to find out what is happening, share local knowledge, support nearby businesses and access practical information about village life.
02 / The approach
Making the right things clearer.
We created a community-first digital platform rather than a brochure site. The experience is organised around the things residents actually need, while the publishing model gives the village ownership of its content. Residents can submit events, businesses, articles, recommendations, photos, items for sale and requests for help, with everything reviewed and approved before it goes live.
The most important part of the project is the balance between participation and trust. Bishops Tawton can keep its own website alive with new content without opening the door to unmoderated spam. The submission-led structure gives residents a simple way to contribute, while approval keeps the public-facing hub useful, relevant and dependable.
03 / What we delivered
A system built around the real brief.
04 / The result
A living digital centre for Bishops Tawton: more current than the old site, more useful to residents and designed to keep growing through the community itself.
